Hi, I’m Richard Walker, a professional photographer living in 'God's Own Country' - Yorkshire.


I have a passion for capturing ‘special moments’  - be it your wedding celebration, a portrait session with your family and children, or portraying the character and personality of your beloved pets and animals.
 
My goal is is to capture character and emotions in a friendly & relaxed style, in an informal setting.

Honestly, I find most people shy away from having their photo taken - so it is my pleasure to create a fun and natural experience to put people at ease with my photography style.

I treat all my assignments as unique and special, and no one is the same - as it should be.

With a background as a professional photo-journalist spanning well over 25 years, I have captured major news and sports events, photographed the odd celebrity or two (well quite a lot!) along with the Royals and politicians. I've been around!


This experience lends itself beautifully to my wedding and portrait work, giving me a documentary style especially to my wedding work.

My aim is to merge into the background in a non obtrusive way, telling the story of this big event without getting in the way too much.

All this with the comfort that you are working with a full-time professional photographer who you can trust to take care of your day - I'm not some part-time amateur photographer like many around these days! I will work with you to tailor your day around you, and create a package that suits you best.

A big part of capturing stunning wedding photography is the relationship between me and you, so I find getting to you know before the big day is essential.

There is no better way than with an engagement or pre-wedding shoot - it’s a great way of us getting to know each other before the wedding day, and we can shoot a great set of images to relax you and ease you into having your picture taken - well lot’s of pictures to be honest!

I can provide your beautiful selection of pictures on a special USB drive or the more traditional albums and photobooks, the list of products is endless!

My portrait photography is shot very naturally, at your home or your favorite place, in a relaxed setting, making you feel at ease in front of the camera.

I specialise in photographing families, children and babies, model portfolios and also pet photography too - with portrait sessions and action photography available. I like to shoot on location especially for that more natural and relaxed look.
It’s all about capturing character, fun and personality.

After our session, I will edit your photographs and display them in your own private secure online gallery.
